We prioritize the empowerment of both collectors and artists, actively working to assist in the development of artists’ practices while also maintaining a meticulous and collector-focused approach. This means that all pieces are thoughtfully sourced from around the world with care and the ultimate goal of catalyzing long-lasting connections.

Founder
Founded in 2024 by Martha Burns, Objet was born from a passionate desire to bring contemporary art into the homes and offices of dedicated art lovers residing in the Southeast region. The aim was to create a bridge that connects individuals with unique artistic expressions that reflect modern sensibilities and elevate everyday environments.
With over ten years of experience in the art world, including roles at Tanya Leighton Gallery in Berlin and Human Resources in Los Angeles, and working with performance artist Ligia Lewis, Martha has built a strong network that gives her valuable access and broad international connections.
With her extensive history in commercial art consulting and an MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University (2021), she’s both genuinely enthusiastic and well-informed about the ever-changing landscape of contemporary art and its vibrant, diverse ecosystem.
